Conference Updates

  • Based on requests received from the membership, the ERAPPA 2011 Host Committee is pleased to announce that the Early Bird Registration Rates for the ERAPPA 2011 Conference have been extended till Friday, August 26th, 2011. We encourage you to take advantage of this extension and register as soon as possible.
  • Take advantage of the EARLY BIRD price by registering before August 12, 2011 and save $150! All full registration prices will increase $150 after August 12th.
  • The ERAPPA 2011 Host Committee is please to offer a couple of options in order to help try and reduce your travel costs to the conference.  You can find these options under the "Travel Assistance" Tab on the conference website.
  • NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY: VISIT THE EXHIBIT HALL OF RESOURCES FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN ONE OF SIX iPADS!!!  This year, buttons will be handed out to all Institutional Members and Sponsoring / Exhibiting Business Partners when they check in at the registration desk for a numeric matching game to encourage networking and booth visitation in the Conference's Exhibition Hall of Resources.  Three sets of matching / duplicate numeric buttons will be hidden in the mix and picked randomly by you when you check in.  The three Institutional Members and Business partners who find their match will each win an iPad!   (Please note that Conference Staff and registered Spouses/Guests are not eligible to receive a button or win an iPad)
  • On-Line registration for the ERAPPA 2011 conference is now open
  • The Call for Presentations is now closed.  Thank you to all those who submitted.

Welcome!

I am pleased to welcome you to the 61st Annual Meeting of ERAPPA, being held in Halifax Nova Scotia.  You are really in for a treat, especially if you have never experienced Canadian Hospitality.  Halifax is a beautiful city with all the amenities of a big city, but with a small town feel.  There are wonderful sites in Halifax, from sandy beaches, rugged shorelines, beautiful seaport and colorful gardens.   You can also enjoy shopping, sidewalk cafés and historic sites too.

The Host Committee has been working over the past two years to plan a special Annual Meeting for all.  The educational programming will be of the highest quality, as well as Business Partners with innovative technology.  The theme of the ERAPPA 2011 Annual Meeting is “Sailing to Success”.   This conference will put the wind back in your sail and guide you to be a successful Facilities Manager.

On behalf of the ERAPPA Board and all the volunteers that make the organization successful, I would like to invite you to join us on October 2nd – 5th 2011 in Halifax.  Come to Halifax and learn new ways to provide exceptional service to the people on your Campus Communities.  Come to Halifax to network with peers and APPA/ERAPPA Business Partners.  Come to Halifax to be reenergized and renew your commitment to quality Facilities Management.
